Back in the 1870 s a few men in Boston MA got together and crossed a Bulldog and a White English Terrier (now extinct). They created the first American dog breed, the Boston Terrier. Now nicknamed The American Gentleman the Boston Terrier sports a square head, large dark eyes and distinct, easy to maintain coat coloring of black, brindle or seal, with white markings.
